You'll have to generate some buzz for it. Use social networking sites like facebook and twitter. Add friends from the new york region and request new friends. Leave links, talk about yourself, and ask others to help promote your site if they find it interesting. Perhaps create one liner headline emails about interesting topics you just blogged about and send it as a newsletter type of email. Leave a email subscription on your blog so people can sign up. Tell people to forward it to their friends if they find it interesting.
