It happened to me once there is now way you can fix it yourself and it will cost alot to get fixed. Best thing to do is call nintendo and get a refurbished one for like 50$ and it will aslo come with a 1 year warranty which is better instead of buying a used one from gamestop or something for like 70$ and not getting that warrantyMy kids' gamecube stop working, it won't spin to read any CD. spank the kids... you believe there story about it ';stop spinning'; you idiot spank the little devils its obvious they broke it

or take it to a game store

It sounds like the laser reader is shot! Try buying the famous disc washer at Walmart of Big lots. That might help it read again. Other then that, unless your Game cube is under warranty, I am afraid its broken. If you have a local store called, CASH CONVERTERS or GAME-STOP, they sell used and refurbished between the ranges of $40.00 to $50.00 dollars. Believe me, the refurbished ones work better because they replace the parts inside the machine with new up to date parts. So the word ';refurbished'; is a good thing, and not necessarily bad. Also don't throw away the Game-cube in the trash, try finding out how to recycle your game-cube so that Japan can recycle it and fix it and resell it to another customer who does not quite have enough money to buy a new Game-cube..

And yes, When you purchased a ';refurbished GameCube from Gamestop, they do give you the 1 year Warranty through the Nintendo company, because I used it once already when I bought my Gamecube from Gamestop, so the guy below me is way off on his information!
