Advice on how to approach a really shy guy!?

he's super shy, he also seems to have very little confidence.


i don't get to talk to him, as i am only in one of his classes and he sits at the other side of the room. i want some advice in approaching him, but don't say ';just talk to him.';


because every chance i get i do talk to him.

Do something or say something to make him smile or laugh. Joke on him about his shyness and tell him something stupid like it will be OK I got my cootie shot. He should warm up a little bit to you.
