I want to move out of state.
I would like to know how much money I first, would need saved up. Right now I have $5,000 saved up.
Also, what is a GOOD hourly wage that me, as a 20 year old, could make to be pretty comfortable living. Remember, theres no way to tell for sure, but at least give me SOME estimates. I'm looking at an apartment of about $560 a month everything included. So I want to move out! I'd like some advice on how much money I need saved and how much hourly I need!?
OK well lets assume that $560 would be just rent (because otherwise if you think it will include ';everything'; you are only looking at $400 for rent and that is a way low estimate for ANY apartment). If your rent is $560/month you would need to make $1680 (3 times the amount of rent) which would mean if you are going to work full time you would need to be making a minimum of $10 to $12/hour.
You need to plan on renters insurance (apx $250/year), utilities, food, ect. You don't say where you want to move to so you need to consider the actual cost of moving as well...will you hire a mover, will you pack everything into your car. How long will it take to find a good paying job...
Deposit isn't the standard 1st and last and deposit usually any more, but that wouldn't be a bad amount to plan for if you aren't sure about the place you will be renting.
If you know where you want to move to check out rent.com. I found the place I moved to there and it was a really helpful website.
Good Luck :)
